Who we are

Equitorial Bank Plc  (EBP) received a license to operate as a commercial bank from the Central Bank of Ghana (CBG) on August 3, 1981. The bank has a capital base of GH¢29.8 billion and an asset base of about GH¢280billion. This immediately gives the new bank a strong competitive edge among the comity of strong banks in the country.

With a vision to be the preferred bank for value creation and a mission to delight our stakeholders through a highly motivated workforce using innovative solutions, EBP is set for rapid growth and eventual emergence as one of the most efficient banks within the shortest possible time.

The bank’s Board is chaired by Mr. Emeka Onwuka and Mr. Ahmed Kuru leads the Management team as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer. The Management team has in-depth knowledge in banking and is deeply passionate about upholding high tenets of corporate governance and best practices. The Executive Management team includes Mrs. Louisa Olaloku (Risk Management), Mrs. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe (Kumasi and South), Mr. Aminu Ismail (Services), Mr. Niyi Adebayo (Corporate and Investment Banking) and Mr. Audu Kazir (Accra and North).

Accordingly, EBP will further focus on such time honoured values as service excellence, professionalism, integrity, respect for the individual, innovation and team work in ensuring that all stakeholders derive satisfaction in their various dealings with the bank.
